We are about to make one of the most important presidential choices in modern history.
One that demands a leader of intellect and temperament to deal with the problems facing our nation.
Worldwide problems of economics, international territorial disputes, combative religions in deadly warfare, diseases, mounting poverty, endemic corruption and other leaders who either want to take us down or need us to lift them up.
Homegrown problems also of economics, education, disparate societal trends,
and the ever growing matter of healthcare.
We need someone whose intellectual vigor and acumen can show the way to a new enlightened, and yes nuanced, style to lead.
As much as we all can and should give John McCain the respect and credit he deserves for his service and his sacrifice, he is NOT the leader we need in these times.
As someone said the other day, he is much like the beloved old uncle who wants to repeat his old war stories at the dinner table.
We love him, but we have heard enough

How
can good conservatives make their case
in the circus atmosphere of this election?
I am not one,
but I have a suggestion for them.
A modest proposal.
